Welcome in the New Guard for Toastmasters at Chermside

The new executive of the Chermside Communicators Toastmasters Club was installed by the Area 18 Governor Joe Joseph, at today's meeting.  Followed by a moving candlelight ceremony which focused us on what it is we joined Toastmasters for.

At the beginning of the meeting the members met the VPE's challenge by introducing us to a book that had inspired them, and we went from Dr Norman Vincent Peale's The Power of Positive Thinking all the way throught to the autobiography of Wally Lewis.  There were some wonderful books shared and that really put us in the mood to be inspires and enthusiastic for the rest of the meeting.

We now look forward to an interesting and challenging year ahead; accepting that joining an Advanced Toastmasters Club is a great way to stretch us and to take us outside of our comfort zone.

2009 was fine, but 2010 will be better again.!

District Convention in Caloundra on 1-3 May

The culmination of the Toastmasters' contest year for District 69 comes at the District Convention being held in Caloundra from Friday evening 30 April through to the Monday 3rd May 2010.
